The Primary 7 bairns have been developing their digital skills using Stop Motion animation. They have worked so imaginatively and enthusiastically on their Halloween creations, learning lots of tricks for effectively adding video and sound.
The final video versions will follow. I hope they don’t scare you too much!!!
End of Week 6
What a lovely end to a busy week.
As a recognition of good behaviour , we had planned to play hide and seek in the forest. We couldn’t have had better weather for it, or more fun. Ms Scanlan managed to catch everyone, except for Koll. It wasn’t as easy as we thought, some of the P7s are excellent at hiding!
Just before that we planted a few more trees and we saw lots more frogs again. The pond has filled up with water from all the recent rain.
This week to link with our biodiversity life cycles topic, we made a display in French of the Hungry caterpillar – ‘La chenille qui fait des trous’. Ms Scanlan was very impressed by all the French accents and the lovely drawings.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Week 6
Primary 7 have been very busy in the last few weeks continuing their topic about Biodiversity .
They have all been finding out about different British moths and butterflies and doing lots of research into their life cycles.
We have also been out planting a few more trees and are planning to plant some more tomorrow. So PLEASE BRING YOUR WELLIES!
Making circuits
Today we have been finding out about circuits

Our Pneumatic Models
This afternoon we finished off our models and what a great job everyone has done. Lots of imagination has gone into all the different designs .
Well done P7s.

Make £5 Grow
The Primary 7s worked really hard during the last two terms on the Virgin Make £5 Grow enterprise project. They raised money for their school trip and staycation and will be selling more at a future date. Altogether so far, they have raised a fantastic £ 543.90!
We posted the amount on our FB page a few weeks ago.

Pneumatics 2
Great progress is being made on our models. Everyone is busy this afternoon painting and decorating them. I can’t wait to see what they end up looking like!
STEM 3
Today is our final STEM session.
We started off by doing a sort activity about different types of energy.
Then we made a solar and wind farm.
Robert Leask really enjoyed making the power sources with Toby, Roman and Daniel.
Faith said “ It was really good fun to see how many volts our model generated – it was 4 volts!”
Isaac said “I liked fiddling around with all the little pieces. “
Mia especially enjoyed building the wind turbines.

Climate Change afternoon
This afternoon Elliot Tait and Isa Bragg from CAB, came in to run a workshop about Climate Change and its effects. We had a really interesting afternoon, with lots of discussion and activities.
