Ms Scanlan is looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow.
On Thursday we are going to be starting a survey of the school grounds, looking for invertebrates. The weather is looking good, so you’ll need your warm, dry clothes and some wellies and we can have some fun doing a citizen science project.

Primary 7 have been very busy in the last few weeks continuing their topic about Biodiversity .
They have all been finding out about different British moths and butterflies and doing lots of research into their life cycles.
We have also been out planting a few more trees and are planning to plant some more tomorrow. So PLEASE BRING YOUR WELLIES!
Today Glen Tyler came to help us to complete the annual school grounds survey. We went out in four groups during the morning. We walked around the school grounds and then recorded what we had seen and submitted the results online. We also looked at last year’s results for the UK and Scotland. They were slightly different.
We saw house sparrows, starlings, a blackbird, herring gull and two mallard!
