P7 spent some time with their P1 buddies this term, making some Valentines crafts. We always enjoy being able to play with our buddies. So many important communication and social skills are being developed along the way! Well done everyone!
Having fun playing together when we finished our craft.
On 10th February, Miss Clark had her final day of her 5 week practice with the P6/7 class. She did a super Viking project with them and everyone has written a super Viking saga and helped to make this lovely class display (1 votes, average: 1.00 out of 1) Loading...

Neil Bratchpeice, Sarah-Jayne Judge and Alba Abad Fernandez came into school this afternoon to run a comic book session. Neil and Sarah-Jayne explained some of the features of developing a character and the children gave Neil their ideas for our very own class character. It was amazing to see what Neil created for us. We also had a chance to draw a cartoon of our own, which we will finish next week.
Primary 7 have been making some beautiful Christmas cards this year. We used pastels to draw a Christmas tree through a snowy window, and watercolours to paint a robin. They looked really lovely.
The Primary 7s worked really hard during the last two terms on the Virgin Make £5 Grow enterprise project. They raised money for their school trip and staycation and will be selling more at a future date. Altogether so far, they have raised a fantastic £ 543.90!
We posted the amount on our FB page a few weeks ago.
Great progress is being made on our models. Everyone is busy this afternoon painting and decorating them. I can’t wait to see what they end up looking like!
On Tuesday 17th September, two scientists from the Edinburgh Observatory came to talk to us about space and rockets. They showed us part of one of the Skylark rockets that had been designed in Edinburgh 50 years ago and had been sent into space to take UV images.
We then had an opportunity to make our own rockets. These were launched in the multi-court and some fired right out of the multi-court!
So here they are, the wonderful, fun loving new P6/7s Just another blogs.glowscotland.org.uk – Shetland site
