This afternoon, while the P6s were at Bikeability, the P7s had a look at the Polycrub, pond and trees to see what they could do to continue to develop our school grounds. They also enjoyed finding lots of frogs 🐸

Week 2
We have had another lovely week, getting used to all the new routines. We have started work on our Sikhism topic and have been writing and drawing for our wall displays. Luckily we had good weather for the end of the week and an opportunity to be outside a bit more.
The P6/7 Curriculum Overview for the next two terms up to Christmas should have been emailed to you.
Have a good weekend,
Ms Scanlan.
First week back
What a lovely week it has been meeting up with everyone again. We have had lots of fun in class and outside and we finished off this afternoon with a game of hide and seek in the forest!
Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday 😃
Leavers Assembly
What a fantastic afternoon. Thanks to so many people for all your help. What a great send off for our wonderful P7s.
We’ll miss you, but we know that you are all going to do well in the future.
Focus Friday
On Friday 10th June we had our first Focus Friday for a few years! It was lovely to meet up with our team mates again and to work together on ideas for school improvement in the coming year.
Here are some photos from the afternoon
Peter and the Wolf on tour
This afternoon we had another musical treat in the hall. An interactive theatrical concert based on the music of Prokofiev.
Music Instructors Tour
On Wednesday we had a fantastic treat. Some of our music instructors came to give us a taste of all the different instruments that are taught in schools in Shetland. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Enterprise Project
The enterprise groups are continuing to work hard on their projects and everything is starting to take shape 😊
Voar Redd Up
What a fantastic afternoon to do the Voar Redd Up and wonderful to be able to do it as a whole school.
Tree planting
While the P7s were on their second John Muir day, the P6s had an afternoon of tree planting. Firstly we helped John to plant the Queen’s jubilee trees, then we took some willow cuttings and planted them and finally we potted up some sycamore seedlings to plant next year. Everyone worked very hard and we’re looking forward to seeing another area of woodland grow up
