All parents are invited to a focus group on Monday 21st January at 3:15pm led by Mrs Rowley and Brian Donnelly . At this group we will be looking at our new Anti-bullying: Respect Me Policy.
Throughout Term one we consulted with all staff, pupils and parents what our anti-bullying policy should include.
We have taken into consideration all views and have created a first draft of this policy.
We would appreciate as many parents views on this draft policy and make any amendments required to ensure that all views are represented in our final policy.
In class we are beginning to learn about Scottish Art. We know that art can be lots of different things, from painting and drawing to singing and dancing. For the next few weeks we will practise different Ceilidh Dances. We have already learned the Virginia Reel! Take a look on SeeSaw for a video of our dancing.
Primary 1 have been excited to see what topic they will be learning about this term. Today they explored a mystery topic bag and looked at some clues. Can you guess what our topic will be?
Another random act of kindness we decided on as a class was to raise money to see if we could feed some of our local homeless people this Christmas.
We made up small Christmas gift hampers and raffled these. We raised £100!! Due to such generous children in our school we are now able to donate 20 Christmas meals to our local community.
Well done again children!!
Annie with her fab Kevin the Carrot present!
Our wonderful ‘rafflers’!
Sara won a key ring making kit and some tasty chocolate!
Emilia wasn’t in today so Gabriella chose a prize for her and will deliver it to her for Christmas.
As one of our random acts of kindness during advent we started a food bank donations box. Between children and staff we donated so much that we had to split the food between two boxes! Steven from St. Ninian’s Church popped by to pick up our boxes and was absolutely delighted with our contributions.
How lovely to think that some local families will have enough food now to see them through the Christmas holidays. Well done again boys and girls!
We couldn’t believe it…..but Santa visited St Fergus’ today!!!! We heard bells and then Santa appeared in our class…. it was amazing. We chatted to Santa, sang songs with him and were lucky enough to receive a present too! Thank you very much Santa!
Today P7 visited our class because they had written us all a fantastic personalised Christmas Story. Some of us became elves and some of us went on Santa’s sleigh. Primary 7 read us our stories and then we had time to play together. We even had a milk and Oreo treat! We had so much fun.
The Mini Vinnie’s have been working on a top secret project over the past few months! They have been learning to sew and they have been making Christmas Decorations for some of our parishioners in St Fergus.
We invited some of the parishioners and Fr John to join us for a festive Christmas Tea and to gift them some decorations and cards.
Some of our Mini Vinnie’s even entertained us with some musical performances.
We wish you all a very happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.
