P7 Enterprise Fundraising

Hi everyone,

As part of our fundraising for our Graduation and Prom, we will be holding some events in the next few weeks. Please take a note of these exciting things we have organised for your children in the school.

Starting from Wednesday 10th May… Leon, Lewis, Kian, Callum and Kyle will be selling raffle tickets for children and adults, with the chance to win a small hamper of items. This will cost 50p a strip.

On THURSDAY 24th MAY our monthly tuckshop will be organised by Sara, Mia, Nicola and Amelie. They have conducted surveys and found out which sweets our children really love! We will be having a pick’n’mix tuck which will be very popular I’m sure!

During our Sport’s Day on THURSDAY 1st JUNE we have 3 exciting events planned…

Alan, Milosz, Mason, Hayden and Alex will be setting up an ice cream stall as a lovely reward after our races. Make sure to visit us!

On FRIDAY 2nd JUNE we will be hosting two sponsored events- an obstacle course and a dance. Your children will be able to participate in both events- our children have made a timetable for the day which will be handed out to teachers. All we are asking for is if you could find one/two people to sponsor your child for these events.

Our Sponsored Dance event is being organised by Annie, Abbie, Kerys and Miley- they have made playlists for the younger and older children and are currently working on routines to teach them.

The Sponsored Obstacle Course is being organised outdoors by Kyle, Steven, Ryan, Chanel and Kaylee. This will be open to everyone and again is a sponsored event.

Our P7 children have worked very hard to organise this and developed their enterprise skills as a result: organising, planning, budgeting etc.

We hope you will support them in their last weeks in St. Fergus’

Thank you!

P7 Home learning tasks for 15.06.20

Good morning P7 and Happy Monday. I can’t believe we only have 2 more weeks to go!see you in class

You have a busy fortnight ahead although sadly not as busy as we would have originally wanted.

On Thursday you will be visiting St. Andrew’s (and other children have or will also be visiting Castlehead and St. Benedict’s). Thursday would also have been our Prom. I thought it would be nice to have a TEAM MEET on Thursday to have a mini party. Come along with juice and snacks, and if you wanted to (just for fun) wear something fancy!! I have invited Mrs McDonald and Mrs Rowley along to our meeting too so that they can join the party!

Here are your tasks for today. Keep uploading!

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!

Well done for all your hard work and commitment this week. You have remained so focused and continued the hard work in very difficult circumstances and should be so proud of yourselves. Many of you are more than ready for high school and have proven this with your hard working attitude and resilience.

Some nice, light hearted, tasks for today (minus the spelling test sorry!) to help you relax and take a trip down memory lane. Many of you will have high school visits next week and then some time in school the following week so it’s important to relax before things start to  busy up slightly!

Have a good day and keep in touch.

P7 home learning tasks for 11th June 2020

Good morning everyone,

aloha

I hope you had a nice cosy day indoors yesterday! The weather was awful, I was outside for all of 2 minutes to take the bins in and that was enough for me! It’s to be brighter today- make the most of it by getting out for some exercise and fresh air. Cameron and I are going to go and visit my mum later on after school and sit in her garden for a wee social distanced picnic.

Your tasks for today are below. I’ve attached a powerpoint to the GOOGLE classroom that I would like you to work your way through for your reading task- it’s related to the current anti racism protests going on around the world. If you can’t access the version on the classroom please email me and I will email you a copy of the powerpoint, it’s too large to upload to this blog.

Have a good day and keep in touch as always 🙂

Good morning and Happy Friday!

I hope you had a good day yesterday and enjoyed seeing the staff from St. Andrew’s on both the transition sport’s day slides and Ms. Irvine on the TEAM Meet. I had never met Ms. Irvine before but she was on the phone for a while and sounded so friendly and funny. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get on the meeting as well but thought it was much more important you got to meet Ms. Irvine. We can arrange another one for next week 🙂

Enjoy your tasks for today. I cannot wait to read some of your writing pieces about our NHS keyworkers.
A fun wee art task/craft for you to do today too (with the help of an adult). Remember to upload your tasks and let me see your progress.

P7 home learning tasks for Thursday 4th June 2020

Good morning children…

No lesson plan today as you have two tasks to do that will take up a good bit of your time.

Task no 1: St. Andrew’s staff have worked very hard on a ‘Transition Sport’s Day’ which is being launched and going out to all schools today… all pupils which will be in your year if you’re attending St. Andrew’s! (Hope and Zara you can do this too as it’s fun, exercise and also good to have a nosey. I’m also going to send you an email with files from St. Benedict’s so check your GLOW).
So the sport’s day slide features bitmojis of different staff you will meet when you begin in St. Andrew’s in August. If you click on the exercises beside them you will be able to view a video of them doing a particular challenge which you can then do. Click on the link on GOOGLE classroom to access this. I’ll also email it to your GLOW.

Task no 2: Tomorrow at 2 o’clock we will have a TEAM MEET with Mrs McManus and Ms. Irvine (a teacher from St. Andrew’s). Please make sure you attend this meeting, you don’t need to speak but it really will be extremely useful for you to listen to what Ms Irvine has to say about you joining St. Andrew’s. If you have any questions write these down so that you can ask them during the meet. I will put an announcement on Facebook/Twitter to let your parents know that this is happening, they are more than welcome to sit with you and hear the information too.

Speak to you soon,
Mrs McDougall
