We worked hard on our addition sums and played some adding games on the I-pads. We also learned more about Fairtrade farmers and the kinds of food they grow.

This is Fairtrade Fortnight and we are learning about Fairtrade foods and how we can support the Fairtrade farmers by buying their produce.Today we learned to look out for the Fairtrade symbol in the shops.

It was lovely to see all the children back at school today and we had such a great time. We all settled in really well and had a chance to talk about our lockdown experiences and how to stay safe in school. We did sounds, spelling, reading, number work and Health and Wellbeing when we got a chance to speak about our feelings coming back to school today. We also did our daily mile and playground games to keep ourselves active.  What a great day we all had.

We enjoyed a Christmas movie today while eating some snacks. We also danced to Christmas music outdoors and made Christmas stockings and Christmas tree pictures. We then enjoyed watching ourselves as well as the other classes perform their Christmas Makaton songs as part of the Virtual Christmas Show.  I hope all the parents enjoyed watching it too and it brought some Christmas cheer to you all.

We had great fun today at our Christmas party. We played party games and danced outdoors, made Christmas pictures, watched a festive film and enjoyed delicious party food and drink.

Well done to our Star Pupil for this week.

Tomorrow is our Christmas party/activity day where we will be doing lots of fun Christmas things. The children can come to school dressed in their party clothes.

We have been keeping active by playing some outdoor games and learning more about symmetry.

We made our reindeer antlers for the Reindeer Dash.

We made dreidels last week and used them today to play the game of dreidel which Jewish children do as part of the Hanukkah celebrations.
