Sounds
Revise these sounds ; kn, au, aw. How many words can you remember for each sound? Write a sentence with each word.
Play the computer games for each sound (look back at the last 3 weeks homework to find the links).
Read the list of sound words you have stuck in your jotter aloud to an adult.
Spelling
Revise these spelling words; put, said, have, like, so ,do, this that, then, them.
Reading
Practice reading your book every night and talk about what is happening.
Write a sentence or two about your favourite part and draw a picture.
Maths
Make up tens and unit sums for eg. 15 = 10 + 5
15 = 1 ten + 5 units
1 ten and 5 units = 15
If confident try numbers in the twenties, thirties etc.
Road Safety
We have been learning about staying safe when crossing the road. Go on a walk with an adult and practice crossing the road safely using the Green cross Code. Remember to STOP, LOOK, LISTEN and THINK all the way across and to hold hands to stay safe.
Tomorrow is Sports Day. The children can come to school dressed in their sports clothes (jogging trousers/ leggings, t-shirts, sweatshirt , trainers etc but no football strips).
The weather is forecast to be hot and sunny so please apply sun cream to your child BEFORE they come to school and bring a bottle of water as they will be active all day and will be thirsty.
Parents are welcome to come along and watch. See you there!
