We used our magnetic letters to help us with our sounds today.

At P.E today we were finding different ways of travelling using our feet. Then we played the ‘Partners’ game and The Clock n the Tower’ game.

Gym days are Monday and Tuesday. If your child has not brought in a gym kit could you please supply shorts, t-shirt and sand shoes in a bag. Make sure your child’s name is on every piece of clothing and footwear.

Gym days for Primary 2 will be Mondays and Tuesdays. Please send in a gym kit consisting of shorts, t-shirt and sand shoes all labelled with your child’s name. Put it in a bag with your child’s name on the bag too.

We have been busy in the Learning Zone!

We have been practising our handwriting. Can you show someone how to write neatly and carefully?

We have been cutting and stick the numbers in the right order to help us with our maths work.

We were ordering the numbers between 0 and 10 today in our maths work.

The magnetic letters and sound games have helped us do our literacy work.

We have been learning some action songs to help us with our counting.

What a fantastic performance Prmary 2 did for our Summer Show this year. I think they are all stars in the making!

Well done to a proud girl for graduating from Rainbows last week.

Our school show will be on tomorrow evening (Tuesday  19th June) and the following evening Wednesday 20th June) as well as the afternoon of the Wednesday. It is vital that your child comes along to both the evening shows at 6.30pm ready to get changed into their costume. They may bring a snack and drink too.

What a great day we had  on our trip to Almond Valley Heritage Centre on Friday!

All items should be labelled with your child’s name and put in a poly bag, again with their name on it. Please bring in by Wednesday 13th^th June as we will have our dress rehearsal that week.

There will be no set jotter work up to the summer holidays but feel free to revise anything we are covering in class (eg sounds, sums etc) and make up your own activities if you wish.

Read and discuss the reading book sent home and return any old reading books you may find around the house that you have forgotten to return.

Hopefully the show song ‘Clowns Just Wanna Have Fun’ is being practised. Continue with this as well as learning the other song ‘Wouldn’t It Be Funny’. The words to this will be given out this week. Please practise them as there are quite a lot of words to learn.

Remember to bring in your clothes for the show (letter given out 4.618). If you can’t find it this is what it said;

This year’s show is ‘Woodlands Greatest Show’ on Tuesday 19^th June and Wednesday 20^th June.

The theme for primary 2 will be clowns in the circus. The school will provide the children with a colourful t-shirt, tie/bowtie, a hat and makeup on their nose. Please provide the following items if possible. You do not need to buy anything special.
