Homework up until the September weekend will consist of a whole school approach and will be allocated via the main school blog.
Please check the main blog for whole school homework details:

We have been learning the sound ‘sh’ in class and how to read tricky words. We have been learning to use some reading strategies like sound the word out, look for words hiding inside the word or look for a phoneme (two or three sounds together that make one sound – like ‘sh’, ‘ch’, ‘th’ etc).
Why not watch this clip about ‘sh’ sounds;

How many sound words can you remember? Can you think of any more? Can you think of  words that end with ‘sh’? Tell a grown up.

Today we listened to a reading of our shared class book called ‘Where Next Dinky?’ on ‘Bug Club’.  We talked about the tricky compass directions of north, south, east and west and named the countries that make up the United Kingdom.

We will get our passwords home soon so the  children can enjoy discussing all the important  new vocabulary they have been learning about.

We were being creative in art today using paint in dotty patterns to decorate the underpants we read about in the story ‘Aliens Love Underpants’.

Well done Primary 2 for finishing your first full week back at school. Have a lovely weekend.

12.8.20

Welcome back to school Primary 2! We have had a brilliant first  day and we have all settled into our new class very well.

We have kept ourselves safe and well and learned a lot about washing our hands properly as well as how we all might feel a little worried about coming into our new class.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Friday.
