This morning we found out that we are going to have a small party on Friday as part of our learning about number this term. We had to write invitations to ourselves so had to think carefully about the layout and the information we needed on the invitation. Then we peer assessed the invitations to check that they were well written.

For our reading activity we learnt about the word visualisation and how it helps us to think about our story- the characters, setting and the events. We will be having more practice using this strategy next term.

We started to learn about capacity which is the word we use for measuring liquids. We had to half fill a container with water, so we were using lots of maths skills.

Tomorrow is the Climate Zone Presentation day which I am really looking forward to. The children are very interested in the different zones and aspects of life in them. Ideas for the model include the weather, types of homes, animals and the types of clothes worn.
