Good morning boys and girls, I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. Can you believe that we are into the new month of June and it is now officially summer!

Here are your learning tasks for today.

Number – Addition

Warm Up

Watch this clip about how a number can be split  into two and when you add both numbers together you get the total. Learn about maths mountains and how to work out the total. The ‘total’ or ‘sum’ is always at the top of the mountain.

 

 

 

Main Task

Can you work out the missing number so that both numbers add up to the total at the top?

Write an adding sum in your jotter like this:

1 + ? = 20

Fun Finisher

Play this number game. Choose ‘number bonds’ and select ‘Make 10’, ‘Make 20’ or ‘Make 100’.

Here is another good game to play. Choose ‘+’ and then ‘Bonds to Make 10’, ‘Bonds to Make 20’ and ‘Bonds to Make 100 (Tens)’.
