Sounds
Group 1 – magic “u-e” sound (June tune, flute etc). Practise reading the magic “u-e”words from your sound booklet each night.
Group 2 – Practise reading aloud the ‘wh’  sound words from your new sound booklet every night (when why, whisk, whisper etc).
READING
Read your book each night being careful to read the words on the page accurately (don’t add extra words, miss out words or read different words from the ones on the page). Talk about what is happening in the story. Can you find any of this week’s common words, sound words or spelling words in the book?
HANDWRITING
Practise these letters in small and capital letters –
iI, lL, tT.
Remember to start at the correct place and make the capitals and tall letters touch the top line in your jotter.
Make tall letters and capitals twice as big as the small letters.
Sit your letter on or below the line.

COMMON WORDS – read these words aloud from your word wall or list.
Group 1 – today, too, took, tree.
Group 2 -away, because, best, blue    PLUS common words from the word wallets.
SPELLING
Practise writing these words in your jotter in rainbow writing. Do each word three times.
Group 1 -here, saw, very
Group 2 – this, that, will.
Use Sumdog to practise your spelling skills too.

MATHS

Do some double and near double sums like this;

5 +5 = 10                    so        6 + 5 = 11  (just 1more)

7 + 7 = 14                   so         7 + 8 = 15  (just 1 more)
