This week we are focussing on STEM activities (science, technology, engineering and maths).

Today we wanted to find out more about colours and rainbows since we were Learning ng about Noah and the rainbow that God sent.

We were being scientists and experimenting to see what happens to the colours on the sweets when we added hot water. We found out that the sugar on the sweets dissolves and we see this happening because the colours make it visible.

We also read the story of ‘The Greedy Rainbow’ and then we used the 3 Primary colours of red, yellow and blue and some absorbent paper to make our own rainbow. We will find out tomorrow if it has worked.

Today we wrote a story about our visit to Ravenswood Primary to watch the magic show about road safety.

In the afternoon we read the story of Noah’s Ark and learned a new song about Noah. We also learned the names of the different percussion instruments and used them to keep the beat while we all sang the song together.
