5.9.19

Today we learned all about the sound ‘wh’, practised our reading and common words and learned our spelling words. We also did mental maths by finding numbers that were 1 or 2 more/less than each other up to 100. Why not try some like this at home  to get quicker?

We also practised our basket ball skills by throwing, catching and bouncing the ball on the move. In the afternoon we learned all about ‘caring’ for each other and read the story of ‘The Good Samaritan’. We listened and watched as some more children got to present their work on ‘All About Me’ and then we went to the Learning Zone.

Homework w/b 3.9.19

Today the children got their homework folder home with a letter explaining what to do each night. Each week there will be a post on the class blog saying what sounds, common words and spelling will be covered that week , as well as some ideas of what to do. REMEMBER to bring the homework folder to school every day with all the contents in them.

There is also a homework grid stuck into your child’s jotter with some other tasks to try. Try to do 1 a week and colour the box in as you complete each one.

Record any written work in the jotter provided and return to school each Monday to be marked.
