During this week and over the Easter holidays you should help your child to revise all the work covered so far in spelling, sounds, common words and handwriting.
Sounds
Revise all sounds in the sound booklets by reading them out loud every night. Can your child read the words fluently without hesitating?
Spelling
Practise any spelling words written in your child’s jotter that need more practise. Write them in small and capital letters, in waterfall writing or rainbow writing each night. Try writing a simple sentence using each word too.
Common Words
Read all the words out loud on your word wall. Can your child read them without hesitating?
Handwriting
Aa, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Qq and Ss.
Practise small and capitals, completing at least one row of each letter in your jotter. Please ensure the letters start at the correct position, are formed correctly and are the correct size in relation to the lines in the jotter.
