There will be no set jotter work up to the summer holidays but feel free to revise anything we are covering in class (eg sounds, sums etc) and make up your own activities if you wish.

Read and discuss the reading book sent home and return any old reading books you may find around the house that you have forgotten to return.

Hopefully the show song ‘Clowns Just Wanna Have Fun’ is being practised. Continue with this as well as learning the other song ‘Wouldn’t It Be Funny’. The words to this will be given out this week. Please practise them as there are quite a lot of words to learn.

Remember to bring in your clothes for the show (letter given out 4.618). If you can’t find it this is what it said;

This year’s show is ‘Woodlands Greatest Show’ on Tuesday 19^th June and Wednesday 20^th June.

The theme for primary 2 will be clowns in the circus. The school will provide the children with a colourful t-shirt, tie/bowtie, a hat and makeup on their nose. Please provide the following items if possible. You do not need to buy anything special.

Girls

Jeans/bright coloured leggings                  

Coloured/stripy socks (optional)

Pipe cleaner plaits in hair (optional)

Boys

Jeans/long baggy brightly coloured shorts

Colourful hair (optional)

Coloured/ stripy socks (optional)

All items should be labelled with your child’s name and put in a poly bag, again with their name on it. Please bring in by Friday 11^th June or earlier, as we will have our dress rehearsal that week.
