We made snowmen today in the snow. Tomorrow we will write the instructions on how to build a snowman for our story writing.

Sounds
We will continue to work on magic ‘i-e’ as well as introduce ‘y’ (fly, cry, why etc). Practise reading the ‘i-e’ and ‘y’ words highlighted in yellow and green at the back of your homework jotter every night. Complete the worksheet and stick it in your jotter.

Spelling
We will continue to practise these words – he, she, we, me, be, was.
Write a sentence using each word and underline it with a ruler.
Reading
Practise your book every night and ask your child questions to check their understanding. See if they can prove they are right by finding the page with the answer on it.
Common Reading Words
Practise reading your words in green from the word wall at the back of your jotter and any words from your word wallet. Do this EVERY night.
Maths
We are learning to count on from the first number in a sum to find the missing middle number. Use your fingers, a ruler (as a number line) or objects to help you.
