Spelling

We will continue to practise these words – he, she, we, me, be, was.

Write a sentence using each word and underline it with a ruler.

Reading

Practise your book every night and ask your child questions to check their understanding. See if they can prove they are right by finding the page with the answer on it.

Common Reading Words

Practise reading your words in green from the word wall at the back of your jotter and any words from your word wallet. Do this EVERY night.

Maths

We are learning to count on from the first number in a sum to find the missing middle number. Use your fingers, a ruler (as a number line) or objects to help you.

Challenge – can you work the answers out in your head without any help? Try these sums;

3 + ¨ = 6      5 + ¨ = 9      7 + ¨ = 10

2 + ¨ = 8      6 + ¨ = 10     4 + ¨ = 8

1 + ¨ = 7      2 + ¨ = 6      3 + ¨ = 9

5 + ¨ = 8      4 + ¨ = 7      2 + ¨ = 10

3 + ¨ = 10     8 + ¨ = 10    6 + ¨ = 9
