Spelling
This week’s words re – will, with, too, be, my.
Use the 5 rules of spelling (LOOK, SAY, COVER, WRITE and CHECK) and write each word 3 times in small and capitals letters.. Can you write a sentence with each word? Remember capitals and full stops.
Reading
We will be learning about the difference between fiction and non-fiction books. Talk about the pictures, layout and the vocabulary, especially what some words mean. If your child’s book has a contents, glossary or index page discuss the information you get here. Read your book EVERY night. Ask your child questions about the story to check understanding and ask them to find the answer from the book to make sure they are right.
