Sounds
This week’s sound is ‘mb’ (lamb, comb etc). Here are some activities to try;
- read your sound list aloud every night to an adult.

- draw pictures of the ‘mb’ words and write the word below each picture.
Spelling
This week’s spelling words are; now, down, he, she. Try these activities;
- write each word 3 times in rainbow writing.
- write each word in small and capital letters 3 times.
Reading
Read your book out loud to an adult each night and talk about the characters and the main things that are happening on each page. At the end of the story can you summarise the main things that happened at the beginning middle and end.

Practice reading these common reading words –
now, number, other, people, right, room, round, school, some.
Can you spot these words in your reading book or a story book? How many can you find?

We have also been learning about solving subtraction problems eg
10 – ? = 6
? – 4 = 3 etc. Try some sums like this in your jotter keeping the numbers within 10 and if confident move on to numbers up to 20.
