Welcome back after our October holidays!  We had a very busy day today and couldn’t believe it was already 3 o’clock when the bell rang!

One of activities today was to design a new tiled floor for Mrs McMillan’s kitchen.  We had to investigate different 2D shapes to see which would be best to tile with.  Mrs McMillan didn’t want any gaps she might trip on.  P2 decided that squares, rectangles, triangles and hexagons made the best tiles.  Shapes with curved faces and pentagons left gaps.
