Today we will be practising our handwriting skills, so please make sure that you have a sharp pencil. Your title will be:

I can form and size letters correctly and practise the four joins

When you make the joins, check whether the joins are base or horizontal.

Please practise your spelling from your own word wall and look at Sumdog spelling for a spelling challenge.

Number- focus on addition

Here is your mental maths practice. Write the answers neatly in your jotter. I have given you a couple of clues to help you recall some of these concepts.

Moving onto you addition task, which should be written out correctly into your jotter – all of the place values under each other and ruled answer lines! Be careful with basic additions!!

I can add 4 digits without exchange. Choose 10 sums from the selection below.

When you have finished, please traffic light your work  and explain to an adult the steps to complete these addition sums. Make sure that you talk about the column values and explain clearly. An adult could traffic light your explanation! 🚦
