Please remember to wear joggers/leggings and suitable shoes or trainers tomorrow ready for outdoor PE.
Today we were thinking about the Rights that we would like to include in our Class Charter. We thought about whether the Rights would be the best ones for all the children in our class.
We agreed on the Rights after voting using tally marks!
If anyone is still having trouble accessing their Activelearn account- try using a different search engine- try Google or Internet Explorer.
Well done for battling through in spite of colds, coughs and general stuffiness! Hopefully anyone who is still unwell will be feeling better soon and we will have everyone back together again.
Here we are getting some exercise on our Daily Mile- it’s a great chance to get some fresh air and catch up with our friends.
Today we were thinking about Rights and the Rights that are important to us. We realised that we might not have the same Rights as someone else, but that is fine- we are all individuals.
First of all apologies for putting the wrong PE day on the blog! It should be TUESDAY that we have outdoor PE. Thanks to the children who came in their appropriate clothes anyway.
We have been continuing to learn about and explain how to order numbers above 1000, looking at different representations.
This afternoon we were getting crafty with lollipop sticks and this gave us a chance to develop our skills in drawing round an object.
Another great day for Primary 4/5! We wrote our own instructions for how to wash your hands properly, thinking about the features needed for instructions. Linking to this we were developing our ideas for our “Importance of washing our hands” posters.
If anyone who has not tried to access their Activelearn account could do so, it would be great.y appreciated. Thank you 😊.
Today we were very busy ordering numbers, thinking about the reasons for washing our hands and using our shared reading text on Activelearn. For some exercise today we joined in a Cosmic Kids yoga session about how to wash your hands.
Look at all of our cool yoga poses! Why not try some at home ?
This is the shared text that we are starting to read as a whole class tomorrow. Pupils can read the first chapter by logging into their Activelearn account.
We hope to have our outdoor PE time on Tuesday afternoon, so please come with suitable clothes and shoes on so that you can take part easily.
Today we started to learn about climate zones for our topic. We learned that where the weather patterns in different parts of the world are similar, these areas are called zones. We used our mapping skills to show where some of the climate zones are in the world.
Another reminder to please try at get onto Activelearn as I showed you in class today- if there are any difficulties please let me know. Thank you to those of you who have already been onto the site. Remember that you get rewards on your Activelearn site.
Have a relaxing weekend everyone- you have made a great start to Primary 4/5!
Today we were learning a few facts about the French painter Claude Monet. We looked at some of his lily paintings and we used finger painting to create a background in an ‘Impressionist’ style.
Today we were thinking about the qualities of friendship. We each thought about what we consider the most important qualities to be and we compared them with our friends’ thoughts and opinions.
We value the qualities of trust, honesty, fairness, fun, respect and caring along with othe important qualities.
We have been thinking about numbers all around us and made a poster showing all the ways that we use number and maths in our lives. Today we were adding the digits and numbers in our birthdays and ordering the totals. There are different strategies that we thought about for adding.
We have a note of our codes for Activelearn which we can use for Bug Club reading resources. The same code will be used for any maths resources which are allocated too!
