 Reading

You have been given a school book to read at home.  Please look after it and remember to have it in your bag each day.  Read out loud from your book to an adult to practise your word attack strategies, fluency and expression. Record any interesting VCOP that you come across in your reading

J.K Rowling group – new home reader

Roald Dhal group – read whole book

David Walliams group – read whole book

 Number

We have been investigating different mental maths strategies this week.

Your homework sheet provides a quick revision of different aspects of number and maths that

you have already covered (in P4 and in previous classes) and gives you practice in reading and

thinking about the word problems.

This site has some different games for you to try out:

Interdisciplinary Learning  – due in Friday 1st December

We were researching and noting information about the Viking Gods – Odin, Thor, Frey, Freya and Loki.

You could use the information we found out to help you with your poster OR you could choose a different Viking God. We looked at a “Wanted” poster, so everyone should be clear on what to do.

This piece of work could be done on the computer, so that you can include cool fonts and pictures.

The poster should contain:

·         The God’s name

·         A description of what they look like.

·         Information about their powers

·         Why do you want to find that particular Viking God?
