Good morning Primary 7,

I hope you are all up, had breakfast and ready to start the day. It’s Wednesday which means that we are already half way through our week. Keep up the great work 🙂!

Let us begin with our morning prayer. Join your hands, close your eyes and remember to pray for all of those who are sick or feeling a little bit lonely during these difficult times. 🙏🏻

Primary 7- Tuesday 12th May

Hello Primary 7 🙂,

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend and are all well. After an extra few days off I am positive you will all be feeling refreshed and ready to get back to home learning. This is another short week so try your best to complete a bit of school work each day.

Let’s start our day with our morning prayer. 🙏🏻

God our Father, as we prepare to begin our work, we ask you to help us use properly, the many gifts you have given us, so that we may fully benefit from our day together in school.

Thursday 7th May- Primary 7

Good morning Primary 7 🙂,

How are you all? I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a nice long weekend. Another week of home learning is almost complete and I am so proud of all of your efforts over these past few weeks.

Let’s start the day with our morning prayer. Let us thank God for his continued love and guidance. On a Thursday we take a few moments out of our day to remember all of the brave NHS workers. Close your eyes and say a special prayer to keep them safe as they do their job.

Wednesday 6th May- Primary 7

Hello Primary 7 🙂,

As this is a short week, with no school on Friday, that means we are more than half way through the school week so let’s keep working hard for these last 2 days. I hope you have all had breakfast and are ready to begin your day. It looks like it’s going to be a sunny day today so that should put a big smile on everyone’s face. Make sure you get out in the garden today and make the most of the sunshine ☀️.

We begin our day as always by saying our morning prayer. Close your eyes and ask Our Lady, during her special month, to continue to protect and guide us during these uncertain times.

In class on a Wednesday morning we normally watch Newsround and discuss some of the news items with our peers. This morning I would like you to watch Newsround and discuss something that you learned with someone in your household.

This won’t be forever, things will return back to normal eventually. Try your best to stay positive!

Tuesday 5th May- Primary 7

Good morning Primary 7 🌈,

How did you all get with yesterday’s learning activities?

I hope you are all wide awake and ready to start a new day.

Let’s begin with our morning prayer. Close your eyes and remember in your prayers all of those who have recently died. 🙏🏻

Can you please keep Mrs Haughey and her family in your prayers during this extremely sad time?

As another week of lockdown begins I thought it might be nice to think about all of the things that we are going to do when things get back to normal. Complete the activity below and think about everything you have got to look forward to.

Monday 4th May- Primary 7

Good morning Primary 7 🙂,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Let’s begin our week with the morning prayer. Close your eyes and ask God to continue to keep us safe. 🙏🏻

To help us get moving and grooving this Monday morning I want you to think of songs that cheer you up and make you want to dance. I have attached a worksheet that I would like you to fill in with your top songs that make you smile 😀. When you have completed this task perhaps you could put on a few of the songs and do some dancing before you begin today’s lessons? Can you think of a better way to start your Monday morning?

Remember you don’t have to complete every task that I upload this week. Try your best to spend a few hours a day doing school work but it is important that you take regular breaks and make sure you fit in your daily exercise.

Have a marvellous Monday and I look forward to hearing from you this week.

Well done for working hard this week again Primary 7, I know it’s not easy in these circumstances. I really enjoyed hearing from some of you this week, your emails really cheered me up because I am missing you all. Remember you can email me at gw13reidsiobhan@glow.sch.uk or sreid@st-barbaras.n-lanark.sch.uk.

A huge thank you to all of your parents who are supporting you during this time. Please do not worry if you were not able to complete some activities this week, there was plenty for you to choose from and remember they are only suggestions. The main thing is that you are all keeping active, are healthy and safe. Maybe you could treat your mum and dad today and do something special for them to say thank you for helping you over these past few weeks? Perhaps you could make them lunch or a cup of tea?

Have a fantastic Friday and I will be back on Monday with some more fun learning activities.
