Hi and welcome to the blog for P2/1. Here you will find out about all the great work we do.

P1 have settled in brilliantly and are enjoying getting to know their P7 buddies. P2 are showing a great example to our P1’s and are always on hand if anyone needs some help!

The first two weeks have flown by and we have certainly packed a lot in! In Literacy P1 have  enjoyed hearing stories,  learning some new nursery rhymes, clapping the syllables in words and talking about rhyming words. They have learned all about the letter ‘a’, what it looks like, sounds like and  how to write it.

P2 have been revising their phonemes from last year, sh,ch,th,wh,oo,ee and ck! They have also been working very hard on their reading and revising all the words on their word wall.

Everyone is enjoying Planning Board Play, there is so many things to choose from its sometimes difficult to make a decision about where to go!

Here are some of the activities and areas we can choose to go too:

House Corner, Shop, Small World, Library/Story Making, Construction, Pen Den, Painting, Play Dough and Car Mat.

We do lots of great activities in these areas and then report back to the rest of the class about what we have been  doing at the end.
