P4H Update on Learning

Good afternoon,

Read on for a snapshot of our learning from the past week.

In Maths this week we made amazing posters all about Place Value. We chose our own three, four or five digit number and had to write all the facts we knew about that number. We wrote facts such as: what would happen if we added 10, subtracted 1000, what the sum of the digits added together, to name just a few. They turned out fantastic and are displayed on our class Maths wall.

In Literacy some of us created visualisers of main characters from our class novels. That Horrid Henry really is a rascal but we just love his mischievous ways. Mrs Hardbottom in ‘The Invisible Boy’ is quite a character too. Not sure we’d like her looking after us though.

In ‘This Is Our Faith’ we looked at ‘The Liturgical Year’ and next week we’ll discuss the colour of the vestments that Father wears depending on the time of year.

In PE we started work on developing ball skills. Mrs McFarlane was so impressed that she gave everyone in the class a sticker.

Have a lovely weekend.
