Friday 1st May

Good morning and Happy Friday. We made it through another week.

Task – Have a picnic and bring along your teddy, looking at the weather it may have to be an indoor picnic, but that’s what happens when we live in Scotland.
When making your picnic here are some maths terms to think about.
• When you are setting up the picnic give one plate and cup to each person.
• Can you count how many altogether?
• When making sandwiches use words like whole, half and quarter.
• Pouring drinks use words like full, half full, empty.
• Has everyone got the same or a fair share?

Sing “teddy bears picnic”
If you go down to the woods today
You’re sure of a big surprise.
If you go down to the woods today
You’d better go in disguise!
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
today’s the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic.

Next week we will be growing beans, If you are out at the shops over the weekend you may wish to pick up some beans. Any kind of bean will work, climbing beans, runner beans, broad beans, dried peas  or dried butter beans. If you can’t got hold of any please don’t worry, the ladies will be planting some and you can watch them grow.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Take care and see you back here on Monday.
