OFF TO A GREAT START!

We have only been in primary 1 for four weeks and we are already feeling right at home in our fab classroom.

We have been making new friends, getting used to new routines and learning lots!

We have begun learning our initial sounds and have been looking for them around our school and home environment. This week we had some super things on our ‘t’ table all beginning with ‘t’ – tiger, tomato, tank, tree and even little doll twins.

Our counting is getting better and better. The magic counting hats we made were really magic. We have been putting numbers from 0 to 10 in the correct order without a bother. It’s great fun rolling the dice to see how many jumps to make along the number line. We have worked with our partner to see who can reach number 10 first.

We had a treat today when Mrs Murphy came to read us a story about ‘Splat the Cat’. It was a great story and we drew fab drawings of him afterwards.

Please tune in next week to see some photos of us busy at work.

Have a great fun at the weekend.
