Holiday time!

Hi everyone! We can’t believe the holidays are almost here!

This is what we have been up to over the last few weeks.

In Maths we have started a new topic. We are exploring money, we have been talking about how and why money is used in everyday life. We know that money is made up of notes and coins of different values. P1 have been sorting coins and P2 have been exploring the value of coins and different ways to make an amount.

Over the last few weeks our writing block has been about facts. We are really enjoying reading information books about wild animals and then writing some facts in our jotter. Did you know elephants can live for up to 70 years. P2 are remembering to use their writing targets. P1 are having a go at writing a fact independently.

In PE we have been exploring different ways of using and moving our bodies. We have been exploring different ways of travelling over equipment and doing lots of work that involves balance. Linked to our circus topic we have been exploring some of the skills you would need to be a circus performer. We have all agreed it would take a lot of hard work and dedication to become a performer, but also great fun!

Here are some pictures below of us perfecting our skills!
