A Crab-tivating Week!

This week we began reading our new novels, some of us are reading The Butterfly Lion and some of us are reading the Invisible Dog. We look forward to completing our tasks with these over the next few weeks. We also completed our Narrative writing genre this week. We have been looking at different clips and writing about them, we have also been practising our note taking skills and used our creativity to hold the attention of the reader.

In Maths we have continued to practise our multiplication skills, this week we used playing cards to test each other.

We also started our money topic, we were given a budget for a camping trip and a list of the items we had to take with us. We selected the items we would buy from catalogues. Some of us enjoyed spending and went over our budget a little!

In PE we played crab football, we were practising our ball skills throughout as well as our ability to work in different teams.

For our topic this week we learned all about crabs in the ocean. We know that there are over 5000 species and because they have ten limbs they are known as decapods.

After we learned about them this week, we decided to make our own, another messy but fun task!

Today is the Feast day of our School; The Triumph of the Cross. We went to Mass together to celebrate. Primary 7h led us all so well with their beautiful singing.

Thank you for visiting our blog this week. We hope you have a super weekend and check back in with us next week.
