A busy week of learning

Hi everyone!

This is what we have been up to this week….

In Literacy P1 learned their first 2 common words; at and a. We also learned all about the letter ‘t’, what it looks like, sounds like and how to write it. We really enjoyed looking at all the ‘t’ things we brought in to show and discuss, a teapot, toaster, towel, teabag….

P2’s spelling words this week are; or,do,old, going. We are becoming experts at putting the words into super sentences! We also investigated how to change a word to a plural by adding ‘s’. We have been continuing to revise the phonemes ee, oo, ck, wh, sh, th and ch and are enjoying playing games to reinforce these.

In Maths P1 have been doing lots of counting  backwards and forwards on the numberline and have been playing lots of games to reinforce this. We have been exploring different ways to count things and are remembering ‘the last number I say tells me how many objects/things there are’

P2 have been exploring numbers to 100, counting forwards and backwards, looking at patterns, finishing the sequence and filling in the missing numbers.

What a busy week! We are glad it is the weekend for a rest!

Bye for now.
