August Adventures

It’s hard to believe that it’s already the end of August. Everybody has settled in well in Primary 5h and we are enjoying lots of learning.

In language we have been practising our Reading Strategies; Metalinguistics, Visualisation and Summarising for our book The Invisible Boy. We have also started the Narrative genre for Story Writing and have been writing great stories with lots of dialogue and descriptive language.

In Maths we have been learning about different strategies to help us order numbers. We have been using the signs for more than and less than and developing our ability to do mental calculations.

We have been enjoying our topic: Oceans and Seas, we have learned about the different Ocean Zones and have created super colourful art showing creatures found under the sea. We have been enjoying PE, our Gym days are Tuesday and Thursday.

We look forward to our families seeing our classroom at the Open Evening next Thursday.
