Week Beginning 1/6/20

Hello Room 4,

I hope that you are all doing well.  Thank you to all of you who have sent me your work.  I am always so happy to hear from you and see what you have been learning.  Well done to Lea for her book review on Artemis Fowl, it was great.  I am sure you’ll inspire others to read it too.  Well done to Kyle, Lana-Rose and Nathan who showed me their work in spelling and maths.  What a fabulous job you’re doing.  Keep it up!

A huge well done to Rose and Ainsley for their work on Sumdog last week!  Ainsley had the most correct answers overall and Rose spent the most time on Sumdog.  They have been rewarded with 200 coins each.  I wonder who will get the 200 coins reward for this week?

Lots of Pupils have earned Studyladder certificates.  A huge well done to Amy, Lea, Nathan, Kyle, Lucy, Ava and Riley.

I also want to give a Star Writer certificate to Rose for her wonderful story called The Robin, The Wind and The Raven.  Make sure you have a tissue at the ready for the ending.

I have a very important and very special task for the whole class this week.  As you know it is coming up to the end of the school year.  Normally at this time of year the P7 children would be making their year books and we would be writing comments in the back.  This year things are different but I would still like them to have a keepsake reminding them of their time at Chapelgreen and our class.  I would like you to please write a short message or letter to each of our wonderful P7s sharing your memories of them, saying goodbye and wishing them good luck for the future (any drawings or pictures would be welcome too).  I will combine these to create a lovely gift for each of them to remember us by.

Have a great week everybody!  I look forward messages for the P7s.

Love from,

Miss Richardson

Family Challenge: Dance!

Family Dance Challenge!

Time to get those dancing shoes on, those endorphins pumping and that heart racing!

This week’s family learning challenge will focus on Expressive Arts.

Taking part in dance contributes to your child’s physical education and physical activity.
Your child will develop their technical skills and the quality of their movement, and use their imagination and skills to create and choreograph a dance sequence. Healthy Body equals healthy mind!

We would love the whole family to get involved in this.

Challenge

We are aware that Tik Tok has been a favourite pastime of many of our pupil’s during lockdown.
We would like you either on your own, with your sibling or the whole family to make up a short routine to a dance and send us the short video clip.

Be as creative as you like, you can even dress up for it.
All we ask is you choose a song that is appropriate and does not contain any profanities.

All the clips will be collated to make a short video which will be posted on the school blog.
We will also choose the top three clips as winners.

We look forward to seeing your dance moves and happy faces.

The closing date for the competition is Monday 1st June 2020.

Email: rmeimarouglou@chaplegreen.n-lanark.sch.uk with your enteries.

Get the tunes on and start dancing.

Love,

Mrs Savva
