World Book Day

Our final literacy celebration of the school year was World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March.

Our S1 literacy ambassadors organised a raffle for pupils and staff to raise funds for the World Book Day charity. Pupils bought raffle tickets in the hope of winning an Easter and Book themed hamper. Whilst staff were hoping to win an incredible book themed celebration cake. In total we raised over £134 for the charity. Please see below for photographs of the winners and prizes.

Staff and pupils were also invited to the library to attend a special World Book Day Reading lunch which offered everyone a quiet and relaxing space to enjoy their lunch and a good book.

Furthermore, all S1 and S2 pupils received a World Book Day Hidden Gems book taster in the library which spotlighted the best books that are rarely borrowed in an effort to inspire pupils to consider them for their next book choice.
