Reading schools is an accreditation programme delivered by the Scottish Book Trust. The programme enables schools to build a positive culture of reading for pleasure for their learners, staff and wider community.

There are three accreditation levels:

Core

Silver

Gold

Braidhurst will be pursuing silver/gold accreditation over the school year 2021-2022. Evidence will be gathered throughout the school year and sent off summer 2022.

To achieve accreditation the school has assembled a group of senior pupils to act as literacy ambassadors who will help drive forward our reading schools action plan.
