TRANSFER FROM PRIMARY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL

Pupils normally transfer between the ages of 11½ and 12½, so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least 4 years of secondary education.

Parents will be informed of the arrangements no later than December of the year preceding the date of the transfer at the start of the new session.

*Pupils who attend Auchinloch Primary School as a result of a placing request must make a further placing request to Secondary School and places are not guaranteed. Parents should also contact their local secondary school to inform them of your intention to request a place in a school of your choice. Parents are requested to contact North Lanarkshire Council’s Education & Families department to clarify this position if they are unsure.
