Rookie Rockstars

Rookie Rockstars will be bringing their exciting programme to the school on Monday 19th September 2016. All pupils can be involved in the programme during this week, and will be working towards a concert performance on:

Wednesday 28th September at 6.30pm

in the school hall.

Rookie Rockstars is an initiative that was created to give children the opportunity to work with members of an established band to learn original songs, record a CD and perform in a concert. The programme is designed to embrace the 4 capacities of Curriculum For Excellence by encouraging pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. This is achieved through active learning and collaborative working with the whole school. Lively and original rock songs inspire pupils to have fun while learning valuable lessons.

The programme covers key areas of the Curriculum for Excellence: Health and Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Religious and Moral Education, Literacy, Technologies and more. Children participate in a unique learning experience which tackles anti-bullying, and aims to promote confidence, self-esteem, and positive friendships.

The programme has run in schools across the UK and has had a fantastic response from teachers, parents and pupils. There are only a limited number of tickets so please order yours from the school as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
