Future Friday

The following courses will run in the next block of Future Friday, if they meet the minimum attendees that are required. These courses will be popular as lots of you have already expressed interest in these fields. If you are interested in attending any of the following activities, please speak to Miss McDade ASAP and give her your name as there are very limited spaces available.

Easter School 2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

The school intends to run an Easter School this year to support senior pupils with their course work. This will involve pupils being presented for N5, Higher and Advanced Higher.

This will take place during the first week of the Easter holidays. The school will be open for three days – from Tuesday 6th April to Thursday 8th April – hours 9.00am to 1.15pm.

There will be 3 sessions each day – pupils will sign up for subjects week commencing 22/3/21. Pupils will choose their session choices by following the link in their Wellbeing Teams on Glow.

More information will follow once sign up is complete.

In normal circumstances S2 would be starting the S2 into S3 option process in school. Instead we are sending the information out online via satchel one and teams. I have also attached the powerpoint, option booklet and option form to this post. The powerpoint guides you through the options process.


Pupil support will be calling all our S2s starting the 1
st March to discuss options and make note of your choices. They will also speak to parent/carers during the call to consent to the choices your young person has made.


Please watch the powerpoint and read through the options booklet. Pupils can email any questions through satchel one and teams.

Prospects for Parents

Prospects for Parents is an exiting new program designed to help families become better off, by supporting parents who would like to get into work, and also by supporting those in low paid work, to increase their wages.

There are a range of supports offered including money, debt and childcare advice, access to funds such as the childcare development fund and the discretionary fund, as well as health interventions and also training.

*Lone Parent
*Disabled parent/parent with a disabled child
*Parent with 3 plus children
*Parent with youngest child under 1
*Parent aged under the age of 25
