Art and Design Department

Art and Design is an inspiring and enjoyable subject where pupils learn to be creative thinkers and develop valuable problem solving skills that can be applied in a variety of areas.

Pupils will learn how to draw realistically and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials, including paints, chalks and oil pastels. They will also participate in several design projects, learning how to follow a brief and solve design problems, inventing and making objects in areas such as product design, jewellery design, ceramics, graphics and fashion. Pupils will also investigate different artists and designers, learning how to evaluate and discuss their work and justify their personal opinions.
