As part of science topic, The Human Body, we learned about our major organs and the role each has in our body. We arranged the organs inside the human torso, we nicknamed him Bob! We also matched the organs to their job description and arranged them on the magnetic body.

This week we went Mexican again! We put the chicken in the shake bag with some vegetable oil and the crumb mix and shook.
The chicken was then layed evenly on the baking trays and put in the oven to bake.
When they were ready we put the chicken into tortilla wraps with cheese, salsa and sour cream. Yummy!

Today we experienced a “My World of Work” exhibition. We had fun virtually dressing up as different professions, we took a quiz to find what our strengths are and what our ideal type of job would be, and we were able to use the touch screen computer to find out facts about different genres of work.

On Thursday, we had 2 more visits for our Careers Week. We had a visit from Ross, a local vet, who shared with us details of his daily work and reasons why he chose that career path. Ross brought lots of items with him to give us a feel for what he may experience within his role as a vet. We also had a visit from David, our Active Schools Coordinator, who told us about his role within our school community and the path he travelled that resulted in that career.

It has been so warm the last few days we thought we would make some jelly for our cooking task and have it with some ice cream! We broke up the cubes, dissolved them in boiling water, left to cool and then put it in the fridge to set. Our favourite of the two, was the orange jelly.
Since it took a while for the jelly to set in the fridge, we put some garlic bread into the oven to have as a  snack while we waited! What a yummy day!
