Mrs Bowden’s pupils have been putting a new maths resource to good use. Their task was to cover the board with the Numicon shapes and then to create a symmetrical pattern using the shapes and the pegs.

During a recent Active Maths lesson, pupils in Primary 1/2/3 were categorising and sorting different objects.They also learned how to use a Carroll Diagram and a Sorting Tree.

Primary 1/2/3 have been sorting a huge pile of socks into pairs and odd socks. After sorting them all out they arranged them into a pattern, with odd socks being the odd numbers and paired socks representing the even numbers.
