Outdoor Learning

Today the weather was dry enough for Primary 5/6/7 and Primary 5/6/7 C to go outdoors for a lesson in map reading. Fifteen cards had been strategically placed around the playground and pupils had to work in teams to read their maps, locate where the cards were hidden and record the information on the cards correctly. Some of the Primary 7 children, had experienced this kind of challenge at Kilbowie  and this proved to give them a slight advantage but the others quickly grasped the general idea and enjoyed the task.
