When we arrived at Nursery this morning we noticed that some of the eggs had holes in their shells. There was great excitement as we watched a little beak poking though and we could hear tiny cheeps! 2 of the eggs hatched during the morning on their own but one needed a little help from Claire. We quickly prepared the cage with straw water, food and the heat pad. But we can’t put them in yet as their feathers are too wet and they need to be dry before they go into their new home.
We had so many visitors this afternoon from all parts of the school wanting to see our 3 little chicks. we think there might be 2 more tomorrow! Can’t wait!
We have chicks!
