Pupils from Primary 1-3 from Overtown came to join us for a morning last week.  They joined up with Castlehill pupils from the same stage and Mrs Bowden took the Primary 2 pupils in her classroom.

They enjoyed some “getting to know you” games before working on some butterfly themed activities.  The pupils all enjoyed seeing the real live butterflies which we have been hatching in class.

The highlight of our afternoon, was the butterfly science experiment, where we made the tissue paper wings of our craft butterflies “fly” using the static energy generated by rubbing a balloon on our jumpers.
