Assembly 6th September 2013

The theme of this morning’s Assembly was change. Changes are happening around us all the time. Some are small but some are greater and much more significant. One noticeable change has been happening to Mrs  Ferguson, who leaves us today to start her Maternity Leave. The whole school wishes her all the very best and we shall let you know when baby Ferguson arrives.

Another very significant change which will affect us in the long term, is the proposed building of the new school on the grounds of Clyde Valley High School. Mrs Milligan let us have a sneaky peak at some of the drawings and plans for the new school and it all looks very exciting for the future.

We celebrated Successful Learners and Responsible Citizens today. Certificates were awarded to pupils who had worked especially hard to complete tasks to the best of their ability, shown maturity in their behaviour and had been good role models to others. Congratulations to all recipients.

Finally, Mrs Milligan reminded us to “think twice before we speak”, in case our words hurt the feelings of others. A good lesson for us all to remember.
