Your son/daughter should assemble in the school social area at 7.50am on Monday 25th January 2016. The coach is scheduled to arrive at 8am. Pupils should bring their own lunch with them on Monday as this will not be provided on the day. As pupils will be provided with waterproofs and boots they are required to bring a £10 kit deposit with them. It is recommended that pupils do not bring valuables with them and should bring no more than £30 spending money. The scheduled time of return on Friday 29th January 2016 is between 5pm – 6pm. Scottish Parliament Election
‘Are you registered to vote in the Scottish Parliament Election May 2016?’ Hopefully you’ll know the voting age for Scottish Elections has been lowered to 16. It’s important that everyone who will be 16 by 5th May 2016 registered on time for the Scottish Parliament Election. Senior Prelim Exam Timetable – January 2016
Exams begin on Monday 18th January 2016. Pupils must attend school as normal during the exams. There is NO study leave for pupils. Pupils will follow their normal timetable when they do not have exams. Pupils must attend exams promptly, with equipment etc and in full school uniform. Please Note Please arrive at least 10 minutes before exam starts. SQA exam rules will be applied by invigilators – please listen carefully to all instructions. Depute Head News
Depute Head News Firstly congratulations to Miss Higgins who has been successful in a secondment with North Lanarkshire Council which will focus on GTCS Leadership and consortia/standardised timetable arrangements within all secondary schools in the authority. The secondment will run till the summer of 2017. To fill in for Miss Higgins It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce the appointment of Mrs Anderson to the post of Acting Depute Head (Lewis) for the duration of the above secondment after successful interview on Thursday. Further to this we are also being joined by Mrs Anne Macdonald as Acting Depute Head Teacher from January 6th to supplement the team.
