“Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul.” Friedrich Froebel
The staff Play Pedagogy Strategic Team is led this initiative. In session 2020/21, we invested in buying a range of Loose Parts Play equipment for the P4-7 children.
In session 2018/19 we started developing our approaches to play pedagogy….we started in the P1 classrooms and now we play in all classes.
The Staff Play Strategic Team has been leading this initiative for years and with the support of parents and the KPS Parent Partnership we have been able to purchase high quality play resources and equipment for all children e.g. Loose Parts Play, Make Do Kits, Kapla, Lego etc.
In Session 2022/23 and 2023/24 we focussed on creating high quality play learning environments in the P1-P3 classrooms and in the playground.
