Dragon’s Den

Dragon’s Den

Every month, children have the opportunity to take part in soup making sessions within nursery. Through this they learn about eating healthily, preparing the different vegetables, keeping themselves safe while using the various utensils. This also helps them to develop various skills such as new language, counting and measuring skills, using technology and working together to make the soup.
The children are involved in the whole process from going to the supermarket to buy the ingredients they need, preparing the ingredients and making the soup to finally selling it to their parents.
From this the nursery was awarded a Social Enterprise Schools award, where the children showcased their venture in Edinburgh and showed off their soup making skills.
